Now Come the Iris

Just a few short hours before the severe thunderstorms arrive so a quick photo of my newly blooming iris is in order.  Hopefully, they won't get beaten down too badly.  I look forward to their display each year.  I was gifted about a dozen rhizomes about 10 years ago and now they are all over the garden.  John and I will be dividing them again this fall.  They are such dependable members of my garden community, and they always remind me of my mother who loved the blue variety we had at our house in Hudson.

Gift#152: flower memories.
