A Survivor

Amidst all the upheaval involved in landscaping the grounds of the new Futures Institute, the weeds are having a field day in the soil designated for lawns but not yet sown, but this ragwort has even managed to thrive through concrete.
It’s been an unusually cold day for the 1st June. The sun is only now trying to break through the clouds at 4:30 and the easterly wind made it feel very cool indeed.

On a sudden whim as I sat in the hairdresser’s chair this afternoon I took the plunge and had my haircut much shorter. Time will tell if it’s a success, but it feels nice to have a change after 4 years. Porty Daughter on her day off cycled up to see me and gave it the thumbs up which is encouraging.
