São Lorenço do Barrocal

This is Daveen in the grapevine arbor outside the entrance to the beautiful establishment of São Lorenço do Barrocal with Mike’s reflection in the glass.
Through this door was a lovely dining area where we enjoyed a good coffee. Then we went on a stroll around the vegetable gardens and orchard.

Another day full of the joys of life shared with family - good food (a juicy mushroom burger for me), after an extended time of physical activity - a 7km/4 mile walk around the estate. The weather was perfect for walking as it was cloudy and not too hot.

After a restorative nap when we got home, I was treated to a tour round Daveen and Mike’s garden and orchard. It reminded me of the garden I left behind when we moved to downtown Fort Worth - with all the accompanying angst of bugs and watering issues, yet so rewarding when the new growth appears and when it comes to harvest time.
