Won’t you help me share my load
Over the last couple of days I have knocked my pan in..
I got up yesterday (eventually) I was a little under the weather, but after a lovely bacon and egg buttie I felt well enough to take on the world.
And out into the drive i ventured with my bucket, my kneeing pad, and my trowel.
Our drive is long enough for 3 cars. It was starting to look like a wild flower meadow.
I have no idea how long i was at it, but after I had done one side - i weeded the front border as well. and then I set about the other side of the drive.
Is awful. I hate it, but I am so happy when it's done, it looks so amazing.
I also repotted my gypsophila into pots and trays - I have probably over 300 of them. But I want them all.
I also repotted some of himself's tomatoes. He was going to "kill" them, but I won't le thim do that, despite not liking the evil things.. I shall gift them to people at work.
Today, i had a bank holiday whilst the Boys were both working. I did think about going in, but to be honest, i was so tired I felt a day's holiday would be perfect.
I started with coffee in the garden, after emptying the bins which hadn't been emptied the night before - the men hadn't been yet. and folding ironing, and hung out washing and I stripped the bed.
Then I sat at the garden table and I made some dangling things for the trees. I bought two from the Pound shop at the weekend, and I figured I could make a similar one, maybe better. That's what it is. in the picture.
And then I set about the work.
I painted the flipping fence and the shed. yes I did Down the drive. My pallet flower stand, the uprights, and the shed. Then I painted the gate, both sides and the front of the shed.
it all looks amazing.
I'm, very proud of myself. When I finished I sat in the deckchair and fell asleep. For AN HOUR. When I woke up, I was a bit burnt, and hot and confused.
I came inside, and realised my muscles were all sore and I was covered from head to toe in red paint.
Si Came home - Stevie went to the Gym. We had dinner when Stevie came back and then me and Si went to the allotment. We watered everything. I have at least 40 strawberries which i hope are ready for Saturday.
Eventually I said to Si, I cannot hold the watering can any longer I must sit.
A woman said to me "Oh my God, what happened to you".
I looked at her confused. I thought perhaps my boobs had burst out of my tee-shirt ((I was wearing a push up bra [Not recommended[} but as I glanced down, I realised she meant the paint.
"nothing has happened, I have been painting".
And then I sat and pondered, while Si finished the watering, did she honestly think that I had THAT bad an accident and then wandered up to the allotment to water my peas?
