A Sunday Trip
After some debate, we decided to drive up to the moors today. Dartmoor is only 15 minutes from home and the local roads were quieter than expected. Beside the road, on the edge of the moor the hawthorn trees had a spectacular mantle of white. I have never seen the may blossom quite as prolific as this year. It seemed the obvious blip for today, but in the end I decided on this image taken in the wild garden at Buckland Abbey. I don't know what it is called, but it looked nice in the dappled light of the garden. I have added one picture though of the May blossom as an extra.
