Live (Liv!) from Abbey Road!
up early doors, excited for a day in London with Liv, and our cameras!
took Pete out at 7am for an early walk, before he spends his day with mum.
A beautiful morning, and perfect for a train journey down to London. train from Langley Mill at 8.06am, gets us into St Pancras by 10.30am. our first little mission is a visit to the infamous zebra crossing at Abbey Road.
to our surprise it's really busy. and oh how annoying for the locals and the drivers there having to stop every few seconds for people to walk slowly across the crossing! The studios close by are bordered by a graffiti filled wall..mostly full of Beatles tributes, one a rather witty...'we all live in a f*"!ing yellow submarine!
after we head towards Battersea, and an aborted mission for an up close shot of my favourite landmark...the power station (yet another architectural masterpiece of Giles Gilbert Scott...he of St Pancras Hotel fame!).
we head into Oxford Circus, and time for lunch on Carnaby Street. our next shot is to capture the street scene from the classic oasis album 'whats the story', on Berwick Street. no crowds there, but one guy came up to ask what i was doing....he wanted the same pic!
we wandered through soho, chinatown and onto Covent Garden, which was very busy. then across the river, and onto the south bank, (i now realise just how far we walked and how whacked we were!), and through to Borough, before our feet give up and we head back to St Pancras.
a fab day, perfect weather, and perfect company with Liv. this photo is my modern take on a classic Beatles album, with Liv as the Beatles!
