Kingfishers

We were ready for a quiet day today, nothing too demanding. We had a slow start and left the caravan after lunch.

Now, one of my followers really loves me to find exotic species like red squirrels and kingfishers so, at great personal effort and expense, we drove 2 or 3 miles to the nature reserve we visited last Sunday. Just to prove these creatures really exist! We weren't disappointed, the kingfishers were still busy at their nest site.

It was a first for me getting 2 kingfishers in one shot. The prize shot would have been the second but it isn't quite on the ball so here in Extras is: The Presentation, The Handover and The Acceptance. A gift of a lovely fish from the male to his partner. Aww!
