Well I Never!

Took Apollo for a stroll through the park close to our flat today.

It's doing him the power of good getting out and about again. His appetite, which had slowly faded since we moved, has returned. Makes me feel bad for having been so negligent with him of late.

The park, it appears, may be in danger of being swallowed up by developers and the relentless march of progress. There were lots of protest banners, a single tented-protester and various childrens' drawings/paintings scattered throughout the park. All complaining about the possible loss of the park.

What Ireland (land of famous exploding-chocolate-volcanos) has to do with the imminent closure of the park, I'll never know. But I was very pleasantly surprised to have discovered it nonetheless. I wondered at what little, Mexican mind created the painting and what they might know about Ireland beyond Leprachauns & Bono.
