A week ago this little glade looked beautiful with the bluebells and doronicum but today the bluebells are dying and other plants are taking over.  The collage shows a few of the 36 flowers that I noticed in The Old Oak Wood in Dalkeith.  Greater stitchwort, wood sorrel, violets, bugle, doronicum, bilberry, barren strawberry and periwinkle.
The blue tits have successfully fledged with two flying up onto the roof and two more flew into a tree and an adult bird was seen feeding the young birds.   All thanks to the hairdresser’s continuous care for about 12 days.
