Obidos, Portugal

A really beautiful day in sunny Portugal.  We visited charming Obidos today -- a 15th Century fortified hilltop town, crisscrossed with narrow, winding cobblestone streets lined with colourful houses in shades of white, blue, and yellow.  There was something beautiful to photograph at every turn.

After all the drama of racing to Lisbon to arrive here before the threatened Harbour Pilot strike, the workers decided yesterday afternoon to call it off -- so it turns out we could have visited Spain the day before yesterday after all.  Go figure.

Another day to explore Lisbon tomorrow as some passengers disembark and 180 new ones clamber aboard.
