River Tagus Cruise
Our last day in Lisbon. We took a rather longer bus trip through the city than expected, due to a lot of road works that required several route changes on the part of our driver in order to get us to our destination, which was to board a lovely old sailboat for a trip on the Tagus River to see Lisbon from the water.
Despite the cloudy weather, we had a wonderful time, and really enjoyed the day. This is a view of the masts and rigging shortly after we passed under the Ponte 25 de Abril, which connects Lisbon with the municipality of Almada.
Extra: Some of the sights we saw -- both from the bus and the boat. The colourful "mural" of buildings is all made from Portuguese tiles. The second extra is another "watercolour" image of the beautiful Jacaranda trees which line Lisbon's streets, and which are currently in full bloom. This was taken from my seat towards the back of the bus.
