One last hike
Wednesday 17 May
Today we were packing up, and heading to our respective homes. Jen got off at about 10 am, with us leaving about an hour later. Since we were just going back home, we weren’t bothered about arriving late, so we got one last hike in before we left. There was a big car park near the Visitor Center where we were able to leave the car and camper, it being after check out time, and we set off to see the last waterfall actually in the park, Bear Wallow Falls. We also passed the magnificent view in the bottom right, showing Lake Jocassee and Lake Keowee in the background. Both lakes are located in northwest South Carolina, and are reservoirs built for power and recreation. I had to include some more of the gorgeous mountain Laurel in my collage!
