More rain

The rain is very welcome even if it did shorten my tennis lesson today. I went into the Prefecture in town to resubmit some paperwork and discuss new statutes that will have to soon be submitted after our extraordinary general meeting. These relate to new laws passed in France to allow the state to monitor what is going on in churches after recent terrorist attacks. The admin involved is something of a nightmare, made worse by the fact that the other churchwarden fell and broke her femur and will need an operation on Thursday to have a plate inserted and a new hip joint. I sent emails round to people to ask them to give her and her husband as much help as possible. Both are well into their 80s. I went to French in the afternoon for a bit of a break from phone calls. There is a lot to sort out.
