Glasgow’s icon

i love that the Duke of Wellington has had a cone on his head since the 1980s. It would appear that the council after trying to find ways of stopping it have now acknowledged it as an iconic landmark. As it’s outside the Glasgow Museum of Modern Art it’s appropriate.

Spent the morning working in my aparthotel, mainly watching rushes and doing emails.  Then walked over to the hairdresser to have my hair done and after that caught the subway to the West End (five minutes) and a walk about.   I had forgotten about the Glasgow subway - it’s so small but very handy!

As the streets filled with young getting ready to party; girls in short skirts with cowboy boots and hats going one way, more girls with kitten ears going the other…i decided not to eat out but grabbed some M&S food and went to the room. I watched The Quiet Girl, an Irish language adaptation of Claire Foster’s story which gave me little more than the book.
