Between fen and mountains

It is Ascension day today and the third of four bank holidays this month. I prepared the bread first thing and then went down into town to search for bargains at the vide grenier which was all over the village. I came back with a few small bargains, a picture frame and some paints. Mrs TT went down later and she bought a warm throw for the bed. It will get immediate use as we have had some cold days recently and today it is particularly chilly. Folklore has it that there is always a cold snap in mid May around the Saints de Glace, Saint Pancras, Saint Mammaire and Saint Servais. Delicate plants should not be put out until after these dates.
