First roses…

As i am about to go to Glasgow for nearly two weeks I’m going to miss so much in the early summer garden.  It’s going to be quite a wrench!  Never mind husband and dog. 

Working from home today which was peaceful and productive. I top and tailed the day with a bit of gardening in the sun, although there was a stiff cold breeze, and was amazed to see how many buds were on this Zephirine Drouhin rose.  It was the first I put in when we arrived. It is always early and smells heavenly but it only flowers once and is a martyr to blackspot.  Oh well, there’s a crack in everything ..

Cold wind today but i managed a couple of walks.
