New born cygnets.

The Feast Day of St. Dymphna.
This morning started blue skied and beautiful. I was up at 7:30am and made an early visit to see the swans and cygnets. The sun was so dazzling and the nest is in the shadow of an old dry stone wall, so I struggled to achieve a good shot. I tried to crop out the litter and focus on the feathery softness of the cygnets.
Plenty of housework to do and the washing.
Have a lovely Monday and thank you for dropping by blip friends.
Update.
After doing my housework and clearing shelves of books, I popped back to see the cygnets. It was wonderful to see all seven. They are gaining strength but sleep a lot and snuggle into the Mother swan. She sits on them to keep them warm as they make their cute squeaky cygnet sound. There is sunshine and cold wind. 12c this afternoon.
