The cygnets are born

The Feast Day of St. Gemma Galgani.
I was delighted to see that the Mother Swan has seven cygnets. A lady who lives on Victoria Street not far from the canal site, said they were born yesterday. I took many photos, yet none seemed perfect enough. I was so glad to see them all. I kept a respectful distance and leaned over a wall.
She willl be busy looking after her new born cygnets. Father swan was nearby. There was a new narrowboat moored near the Canal side cafe, called Geranium.
I am remembering my dear Mum and offering up a Holy Mass today, as it was on this date two years ago, she passed away. 
It is sunny and 13c, and it is forecast not to rain until the afternoon.
