Quiet Square in Krakow

This is across the road from the apartment

In the morning we headed down to the ghetto square where there were daily selections for people to go to work camps o consentration camps.
The chairs are a pemanent artwork and look towards the remains of the ghetto wall.
The large chairs represent the adults and the smaller ones the children which point inwards as a potective measure.

We later crossed the bridge over the Wistla river into the Kazimierez area ....... the old jewish quarter and spent the afternoon and evening visiting our favorite cafe/bars. This one has dark alcoves and bright windows to watch the world go by from.

A good day ended as we crossed back over the rive and watched the sun go down
