Penzance and Porthcurno
We spent the morning visiting my friend who lives here. We sat in the garden having coffee in the warm sunshine, which felt really special after the rainy days. The main blip is of a pot containing some fleabane, but also this amazing striped quill-like plant. Even she doesn’t know what it is, if you do I’d love to know.
The first extra is of the view from her bedroom window - I think she is lucky:) the second extra is of Porthcurno beach. I had a very happy holiday here 50 years ago - mostly swimming, lying in the sun and reading - and it doesn’t seem to have changed much, to me. We walked up the very steep coast path for a while, going past the Minack theatre on the cliffs. We couldn’t see it at all, but when we sat for a while beyond the theatre, we could hear the Fisherman’s Friends singing their sea shanties - they have a series of sold out performances here this week.
