Elephant Rock, Al Ula Saudi Arabia
"Home" late last night, and up early this morning for a flight to Al Ula for an overnight visit.
This is the amazing Elephant Rock, one of thousands of extraordinary sandstone rock formations in this part of the Arabian desert. This elephant is huge! He towers over the blazing sands (temperature was around 104F), and was an absolute pleasure to see.
Extras: Some amazing tombs in the rocks reminiscent of Petra in Jordan, and a whole new interpretation of the term "Desert Boots".
