Lots of water

Last night was a doozey of a wind/rain storm. We ended up with 2.9 inches of rain and the wind was blowing around 30 mph all night with some big gusts. Where we live is up above a garage and in big winds this whole place shakes. I slept very poorly as the house was shuddering all night long. The wind and rain continued through the drive to school. Now, though it has cleared out. I went down to the long pond to see the high water. The dark area to the right is the dam where I showed the beaver's work the other day. The water has flowed all around and is running eventually to the dam and culvert. Luckily it's all flowing through the culvert under the road.
I'm looking forward to a calmer night tonight :-)
