Dog sitting in Doune
Son number 1 and family are off to Crieff Hydro for a couple of days, minus Islay dog. So here I am dog sitting and enjoying some quiet time in the Trossachs.
Our first trip was to Tesco in Callander to get dog food, which they had omitted to buy. A good excuse to visit the Mhor Bread bakery. I’d forgotten it was bank holiday and the town was heaving, we made a hasty exit and opted for a forestry walk to Loch Rusky where we saw no one for 5 miles.
Islay had her summer haircut just before I arrived. Liv says she’s now a rabbit which while inaccurate does make the point that her appearance is wildly different.
The extra is Loch Rusty, a bit of a disappointment because there appeared to be no route to the loch side.
