The Keswick hat pull!



I must have been crazy going to Keswick on a Saturday. There was one parking space on the road I usually use, so although it was smaller than I’d like I had to try and get in. I managed but it was good luck rather than parking skill.

I walked past the market first and took some phone shots before going to the shop that had the bag I was interested in. Well, the website showed one in stock but the assistant couldn’t find it, just the black one on display. I don’t want black. I did however spot an alternative that was possibly more suitable but again it was black.

Back home I looked on more websites and found the alternative item in red at Cotswold Outdoor in Grasmere. After a sandwich I got the bus there. The shop didn’t have one in. Bus back to Ambleside and a walk home up the hill. Then I drove to the garden centre where the red bag at Cotswold was shown as out of stock but I wondered if they could get one in. Success. Paid by card, got my discount and it will be delivered to me at home on Monday.

I’ve walked almost 4 miles today. That’s more than my usual blip walks.
