Secret archway
I'd been taking pictures of our Clematis Montana Elizabeth, as it is now in full bloom, covering half a pergola and some of a garage roof!
I took close-ups and long shots of the spread of it against the blue sky.
But I chose this one, as I am always intrigued by the secret, or hidden parts of a garden, and this archway leads from my potting shed out onto the back garden.
Lovely day, though cool. Russet and I had a rather scarey walk! Four large tractors suddenly appeared out of a field - with trailers of machinery - and came down the lane! We really had nowhere to go to avoid them, and had to hurry to cross into another field and wait til they had gone!
It wasn't Russet who was scared, it was me!
