Pond restored

This afternoon I decided to try a few pictures of our little pond, as earlier this spring it was sorted out and re-planted. Water boatmen and various other little creatures cause the surface of the water to ripple now and again, a dragonfly or two has been seen, and the newts are thriving!
I am looking forward to these water lillies coming into flower again, and it is exciting to see several buds raising their heads above water!
The small birds use the lily pads to stand on sometimes, while they dip their beaks in the water, and some birds enjoy a bath.
The sun appeared again today, and so a few little weeding tasks got done in the late afternoon!
