Brinkburn Priory

We had a lovely evening with #3 daughter and family and nobody got up before 8am.

Daughter was on strike but nevertheless did work all day marking. We took Ella and Nathaniel to Brinkburn, a12th century priory on the banks of the Coquet. It escaped the dissolution of the monasteries because it was a parish church. Luke cooked a lovely lunch - he had marinaded olives in lemon and did something clever with onions. He got some sourdough rolls at the Co-op - Ella’s chum’s dad got the contract to make them.

Tonight I’m going with U3A in a minibus to Matthew Bourne’s ballet. We park at a park and ride and get the metro in. It’s a long journey there and back but should be worth it
