On the road

An early start with a frosty drive to the ferry, these two looked settled for a while. A day trip to Oban to Pets at Home, shopping and the real reason, an eye test - for both of us. The day passed quickly and successfully.

On the sail into Oban we spotted the Hurtigruten Expeditions vessel with a number tenders transporting passengers to Oban and back. We talked to one of the passengers later on, she was easily identified in a HG red coat and happy to talk about the trip, starting from Dover to the outer isles, they hope to include St Kilda.

Part of the trip involves research such as investigating plankton, passengers can become involved and work along side scientists. She added the food was excellent and all was very comfortable. The red coated HG passengers could be seen all over Oban.
