Today was Dad’s 88th birthday. After we had all had breakfast and gotten our morning chores out the way, we sat in the sitting room and gave Dad his cards & gifts.

He got books from Mum, Lisa, Aonghas, Kent & I and so should be kept amused for a wee while.

Lisa, Dad & I attempted a good walk between showers but the wind was still a battle and then when we were getting facials courtesy of the wind & hail, we decided to turn around and head for home.

After “tea” we had the birthday cake, which I made yesterday and Lisa & I decorated today. Dad seemed happy with his day today.

The grandkids did FaceTime from Utah so that was great and finished out our day well.
