Rugby in the rain
I zipped down to our Recreation and Sport Centre this afternoon to take a few photo's of our Senior rugby team playing Collingwood. I'm not sure who was winning, although Murchison scored a try while I was watching. It started to rain, and having enough photos to choose for my blip, I decided to come home.
I got lots of close up photo's of players, on the ground in a heap and on one another, with the ball nowhere to be seen, but I decided to go with this photo as it shows our recently built Recreation and Sports Centre. Most of the money used to build this Centre was raised in our Community, although some came from grants from Lotto and the like. Local people also donated their time and some of the material (like timber) to build it. Inside the centre are several meeting rooms, a full size kitchen, a full size netball/basketball court, toilets and changing rooms. It is amazing what small communities can achieve when they band together.
Many thanks for all the lovely comments, stars and hearts that helped cow 198 hit the front page of spotlight! She is enjoying all the attention that she is receiving!
