A Pair of Shoveler
To The Loons hide again for yet another shot at the elusive bittern, but it stayed in character. A marsh harrier also gave me the swerve. In fact, no raptors at all, which is unusual. Happy pairs of gadwall, wigeon, mallard, tufted duck, moorhen there. The little grebes were not so happy as coots dstroyed their nest! lots of noisy curlews and lapwings and 3 black-tailed godwits, one of which is the extra.
