Sally Mair - Loving life

By Sallymair

April colours

There's just so much going on in the garden just now. I couldn't choose what to blip so here's a selection.
The white of the thumbnail is Sanguinaria, as first blipped several years ago, by Annakucat, I'd never seen it before. The top left is dog toothed violet, which was new to me and came from one of our church gardeners. The lilac coloured Scilla is one that blipper Maurice1948 blipped in its white form, it, along with the bloodroot came from Binny Plants. A wonderful source for unusual plants. The dicentra (bleeding heart) is looking good, or 'lady in the bathtub' as our friend calls it. I love it's graceful arching flowers. The pear blossom is standing out against the blue sky. I don't know if we'll have any apples this year, the tree was pruned very hard and very late, no blossom yet, but we'll see. I do know what the others are so do ask if I have missed something.
Today I did NO work in the garden, it was a lovely day for it but I was just too tired. I went to church, did some shopping for Ali then came home and flopped. Colin has gone back up to Banchory, so I can please myself more or less apart from some appointments to pick up the girls.
I'm off to the fish market for a take away fish supper now. Don't judge!
