AMONG THE DUNES

I had a lovely meander among the dunes for an hour this afternoon. The reed bunting above is my best photo, but I was lucky to see wheatears, linnets, a kestrel, stonechats, skylarks singing and soaring all over the place, snails like bullseyes, a foal the size of a big dog, and big dogs the size of foals (all in extras). I could hear curlews and lapwings all around too, and watched ships going in and out of Teesport on one side, and golfers enjoying themselves on the other. A pretty good walk, I reckon.
