LOOKING BACK
The weather forecast said everything would go to rats by 1pm with a high chance of rain all afternoon, so I went over to the Headland this morning, taking a box of books to donate to the book table at the Battery Museum. I stayed for a coffee and cake and shared a booth and a chat with a very pleasant couple from Jarrow, then wandered off with the camera. Here's the view looking back to the Headland and the gathering clouds from the Heugh Breakwater (not quite the end, which is gated off for safety reasons, though that doesn't deter the fisherpeople). The forecasters were right, but until 2pm it was just showers and since then it's been raining constantly.
