Day out

Friday began with BP.  OH had cancelled golf as his car was in for an MOT.  Home for shower and breakfast and contemplating the day.  I wanted to call into Tesco/Lidl as they had their bedding plants so bought plug plants to pot up tomorrow.  I bought petunias and fuschias but have decided to give geraniums a miss this year?  Also went back to the nursery for some more plants to replace the ones that we lost in the frost.  OH and I decided that we don't mind the money we spend on the garden (I would dread to add it all up?!) but it gives us both so much pleasure it is money well spent.

It was raining on and off but we decided on a drive to Scotney Castle and had a walk around dodging the showers.  Interesting house and the grounds are just springing into life, rhododendrons will be lovely in a few weeks time.  We just need some sunshine to warm everything up.

Home to unload the plants and a quick trip to get more potting compost - busy day tomorrow pricking out seeds and potting on bedding plants.
