Get Orf Of Our Land!

My Dear Princess and Dear Fellow,

The old guy who owns the section out the back of our place has decided to build there. He annoyed us by pulling up all of the brambles on our section, without telling us he was going to do this. 

So Caro was ready with her handbag when he came over today. But apparently he was very reasonable and asked for our permission to build a retaining wall at the back of our section.

Caro decided to give him consent, on the grounds that she wants a retaining wall and the idea of a free one was very appealing. He even offered to do some extra work around our place to sweeten the deal. Caro was very pleased with herself. 

But then our other two neighbours spoke to her and talked about the amount of disruption the work would cause. They also said that without Caro's consent he would be completely scuppered. 

So Caro has decided to withdraw her consent and scupper him. 

It's all very controversial and stressful. Fortunately, the three neighbours are now all in alignment. As for me, I'm glad to be on the sidelines.
