Sankt Laurentius

We passed this historic church on our way to meet a group of friends for a late dinner and drinks at the Kulturforum in Essen-Steele. After another miserable day of icy cold rain, the clouds broke just before sunset. The building is rather dark in this image, but I love the bright blue sky. I wish we saw more of it during the day.

This journal needs a bit of lightening up and I'd planned to find a good joke or humorous anecdote to share today - give us all something to smile about. But it's been a crazy busy one and I'm exhausted, so maybe tomorrow I can find something to laugh about :)
