Iceland - Day 2

Second day of my trip guiding a group. Up promptly for breakfast and the weather was looking promising for the day. Packed and headed off for Thingvellir. We took a path which still had a bit of ice and snow in a few locations and headed down onto the meadows below the site of the Icelandic Parliament from 930 for almost 900 years. This view is from near the top of the Almannagja. From there, we went to Geysir: Strokkur erupting, and to Gullfoss - stunning falls - partially frozen and the lower path closed. Finished the day at the Kerid crater, whose crater lake was frozen. Back to the hotel for evening meal and a pint again, and a chat with a colleague Claire who was also out, guiding with another group and in a hotel further up the road.
