Giraffe

I am attending a team meeting at one of Dar es Salaam’s coastal resorts, the Giraffe Beach Hotel. It’s very visually appealing even though we’re holed up in a windowless room somewhere in the innards of the building.

Some useful discussions about the programme strategy and how we track and evidence impact. I am somewhat distracted by a visa application for my next overseas trip next week, to Uganda. Supporting documents uploaded to the e-visa system can only be maximum 250 kilobytes each. I spent far too long figuring out how to reduce down a PDF from 251 kilobytes to within the size limit. Visa administration challenges are a constant theme in my work life. On this one I eventually won the battle.
