Rain in Mallorca

Woke to a dull day, but then the sun came through, although there were clouds in the sky. Reception staff said we might get some rain!

Walked through the Boquer Valley and over to Cala Boquer, a lovely ascent through some lovely rock outcrops. The descent down to the bay was quite difficult, and we needed to take care, however, we made it! As we were leaving to return it started to rain, and rained heavily for about an hour. It was quite difficult going, as the rain caused the path to be very muddy, and the mud was that really sticky clay....... I could have made a pottery dish from the mud on my boots!

The rain did eventually go off, and we caused a stir walking back to the hotel along the esplanade with the sun shining, the air warm, and us soaking wet!

After a shower and dry clothes, we were all as good as new, and had some time at the pool before dinner.

Tonight the hotel laid on some entertainment, two singers, with guitars, from Cuba....... they were made for us and we for them, as they played and we danced, we even did the Conga up and down the dining room.

One of the advantages of going on holiday with a group is that we have a ready made party with us all the time!!!
