Rural Mallorca

Today we had a tour of Rural Mallorca by 'No Frills' Excursions.

Michael, our guide for the day, and Cisco our driver, first of all took us to Sancennes, a small village in the Sta. Maria area, where we went to the small market and purchased fruit, veg, and bread for our lunch. Then we visited the local winery, and sampled their wares, we had six samples, and some of us bought our favourites. It was good fun, and a happy party moved on then to the farmhouse where we had our BBQ lunch.

First of all Michael demonstrated the preparation of some Mallorcan dishes, and then we were invited to have a go, while the food was cooking. We had chicken, pork, lots of vegetables and fruit done the Mallorcan way, and fresh fruit to follow, and of course all the wine we wanted.

It was a good day.
