Moths

I went with Rob to check his moth traps at Roudsea woods. He was pleased as there were around 20 species and maybe 200 individuals.
It is interesting how very much better this ancient woodland is, compared with our very young (30years) woodland garden. Rob would normally only catch a dozen or so individuals at this time of year.
So it is a tragedy that developments like HS2 are being bulldozed through our few remaining ancient woods. What hope is there?
