Flowering

I needed an indoor blip today, because it’s raining (as you can see on the window behind the flower). 

Earlier, I went out for some gardening in the drizzle, but then the wind and rain picked up and became a thunderstorm. The hyacinths and daffodils in the garden are getting quite a battering.

So this amaryllis (or rather hippeastrum, which is the correct botanical name) is my blip star for today. I had blipped the growing bud a few weeks ago.  The plant was a gift from a friend, some eight years back, and it’s giving us more and bigger flowers every spring.
