Dog walks

Morning feels distant,
definitely a long day!
Hope the night's not long!

Back to school for Ben today, he slept OK, woke at 4:50 which is manageable.  He got off to school and I took Leo for a nice walk around the lake, I was practicing with the extendable lead which worked really well, he could lag behind and then catch up and go ahead, I think it gave him more rope (so to speak!). He did well with other dogs too.  We came home and I cleaned the bathroom and had a call with Ben's psychiatrist, which was not quite as useful as I'd hoped but did give us some small things to go on.  I took Mr KCNQ2Haiku to the station for his work trip to London and Leo and I were half an hour early to pick Ben up so we went to the grassy area of the park near school for a wander.  This was him finding a bit of an old log to chew on.  It was better than the bottle cap, old poo bag, wet wipe or squished can of Carlsberg that had previously drawn his attention..
Fetched Ben, he was tricky, he got in the driver's seat and took off the handbrake, interestingly the car rolled a little.. which has never happened before. Must have parked on a bit of a slope :-/  I pretty much talked him down, he had a bit more argy-bargy type nonsense but it was fairly tame and then we got home OK, he's been pretty good since then really and actually fell fast asleep at 8pm without any drama at all, so that has been a Big Win.  Hopefully it will be a calm evening :-D
