Archery

Ben's still struggling,
we managed two walks and a
sniff of archery.

Firstly and most importantly I have a question about how many syllables there are in 'struggling'??  Strug-a-ling or strug-ling??  Definitely one of those things that is only important to Haiku-ists!!  
Ben has still been very quick to anger and low on any sort of emotional regulation.  I have a call with the psychiatrist tomorrow so hopefully she'll have some insight.  We gave him a bit more medication from a new bottle this afternoon and he did seem a little bit more settled, so maybe he's just grown so much he needs extra??  Hopefully it's that simple.  
The morning walk was the most stressful but then the afternoon one Mr KCNQ2haiku came along too, which always helps.  Mr KCNQ2Haiku went to the cinema late afternoon and Ben asked to play archery,  he managed to hit the target and he was comparatively calm around me putting in rules about him having to wait to shoot until I had hold of Leo.  The photo is him celebrating hitting the target whilst Leo steals the arrow in the background :-D It made me laugh!  Leo has found the ideal bush in the garden for finding snail shells and I keep having to confiscate them from him.  He also found an old bean bag that must have been from when the boys were really little, he acted like he'd won the lottery, I can only imagine it smelled particularly tasty :-/  I think I mentioned that the vets had a whole informercial type thing playing on a loop in the waiting room about snails harbouring various worms so I'm generally grossed out by snail paraphernalia.  Which is obviously what a dead snail's shell is..  Maybe I'm just tired!!  We did sleep OK, Ben's bloods were low so I was awake a bit checking and giving juice but he was asleep so there was no drama :-D
Tonight might be another story, he's got school again tomorrow so he'll be anxious and I let him go up to his iPad at 6pm and we've just realised he actually fell asleep, so the chances of him dozing off nicely at bedtime have just dramatically reduced :-(  Wish us luck...
