Bursting

I promised there'd be more flowers :)
This rhododendron is just beginning to burst. It's the brightest colored one in my garden and I'm hoping the entire bush will soon be full of pink blossoms.

Blipping this rather later. Yesterday was long and complex. A translation/interpretation job in the afternoon put me in an awkward situation when my clients were ambushed with unexpected visitors. I was bursting angry by the end of the ordeal, as the "visitors" we're extremely demanding and my clients were treated unfairly.

But the evening was fun, as our expat friends hosted another Eurovision Song Contest party. All the invited guests chose a participating country to represent and come dressed in national colors or costumes and bring traditional foods. Then we stand around poking fun and cheering the diverse displays of awfulness that comprise this musical spectacle.

Last year I sort of got stuck representing Azerbaijan because I RSVP'd too late. It was a challenge to come up with a good recipe to bring and I had no idea what to wear. So this year I jumped in early and snagged Germany. Wearing a dirndl, I took a carrot-apple salad and cheesecake (beer and brats were already provided)! So while the "talent" may have been a bust, our smorgasbord of fantastic food left me nearly bursting the seems of my dress :)
