We left Casablanca yesterday morning after visiting the Hassan 11 mosque, a huge building, built at a reputed cost of US $5 BILLION.  Built on the edge of the Atlantic ocean l hope it survives sea level change (extra 1).
We travelled down towards Rabat, the capital city which is a charming city, we had a rather lavish lunch on the side of the river (no alcohol but a delicious freshly squeezed OJ  and carrot).  We stopped to see the remains of an impressive looking mosque started in the11th century but never finished (extra 3)  and then a small white washed village where both the main and 2nd extra were taken.
A quick dash to get to our hotel in Tangier for supper and although a pretty view of the marina beckoned, bed.
We are not natural tour people but it is quite nice and lazy to be to picked up and dropped of with an international bunch - Canadian, Bosnian, Irish, 1 English and me!
