Poppy on the Beach

Nathaneal set off early this morning for his Iconography retreat in Whitby. We took Poppy for her first walk (took ages to work out her harness!) and explored the village (Lesbury) and the church we overlook (St Mary). It dates back to 1147 and is one of 9 local parishes that Nathaneal and his Dean have responsibility for. We popped into Alnwick again for a couple of hours before lunch. We worked out that we’re 3 miles from Alnwick but only a mile and a half to Alnmouth, so after lunch we decided to walk to the beach with Poppy. We hadn’t gone very far when we realised that it was far too marshy and so we drove there instead. Enjoying doggy snuggles tonight instead of my creative writing course.
