Cherry Orchard

A day of complete contrast! It was a beautiful morning as we set out for Alnwick Castle gardens. We had visited the castle in the past and were anxious to visit the famous gardens. We went to the Poison Garden and were quite amazed by the number of common garden plants (some in our garden too) that are deadly! The cherry orchard was beautiful with tulips echoing the blossom on the trees. The formal gardens were full of beautiful tulips that reminded us of Spalding and then down to the water features and the fountains. After lunch the weather changed completely and within half an hour we had grey skies, wind and heavy rain and FAR WORSE - NO WIFI on site! It failed half way through our blipping session, so if we haven't been following you recently - it really wasn't our fault.
