We've been waiting for you!

Within minutes of putting the bird feeder up we had so many clamouring for a place on the feeder that we thought they must have been waiting for us, until we spoke to the site warden who told us we had arrived at a "little paradise". 100 yds through the wood a swan is nesting on the lake where the black headed gulls nest in profusion. The stream running through the site has otters and a kingfisher. We just hope we have time to spend looking for these treasures as we have plans to rediscover this part of Northumberland. Rain and blustering wind as we left Stockton this morning but the wind has dropped and we might even cook outside in the evening sun.
